They're virtual nerds to the hard core, and now Kings of Leon is updating their resume to include something that the self-proclaimed dorks from Nashville would never thought possible - a Guitar Hero 5 game that offers up licks from Only by the Night. Neversoft, the owners of the Guitar Hero 5 franchise, have reportedly updated their new list of tracks to include 24 new sounds for the future edition, appearing September 1 and including Blur, Beastie Boys, Vampire Weekend, David Bowie and the 'Kings.' Gamers are in high heaven as a new "Guitar Hero: Van Halen" has yet to appear (its release date is set for sometime toward the end of 2009) while a new country track listing was released late July.

Currently touring in support of Only by the Night, the guys have found international success with this new "hero" hit as it was the first to make the number one spot in the UK. Already European studs having toured in the UK and North America since their debut full length Youth & Young Manhood appeared in 2003, Kings of Leon tickets remain a hot service online.

The Night tour, hitting Morrison, CO early August, visits Portland, San Diego, East Rutherford, Montreal, Columbus, Minneapolis, St. Louis, Oklahoma City, Dallas, Nashville, among others, through mid-October. Already extending the set prior to a full production, the Tennessee boys are ready to see their fall jaunt hitting cities throughout the country. With the new album (Night was released in September '08) and a new record label - the guys partnered with Bug Music in June '09 - they are ready for a full swing through the States. "Caleb, Jared, Matthew and Nathan are extraordinary tastemakers and constantly absorbing new sounds from all over the world," said Bug Music CEO John Rudolph.

The guys are ready for everything, particularly since exploring their own innovative dimensions on Only by the Night. The fourth set from the quartet, it was their first to score a pair of Grammy nominations (for Best Rock Song and Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group), and this February the new "Guitar Hero" lick took home a statue.

Their history to stardom is wrought with desire and intrigue, as the brothers Followhill were raised on a diet of divorce and doctrine. When their father finally split their family life and the church, the boys took to embrace Nashville's rock scene with extreme gusto - eventually signing to RCA in 2001 as their lifestyles began to slowly merge from all-around saints, to sinners. The EP Holy Roller Novocaine appeared in 2003 with help from producer Angelo Petraglia, followed by the full length Youth & Young Manhood and a subsequent Euro tour. 2004 saw Aha Shake Heartbreak and a few singles cracking the UK charts, followed by Because of the Times in 2007.
