First all, sorry my English. The purpose of the video, i know, not very well filmed, i know, is to show that is not so difficult to use a Recorder (a little flute) as a Midi controller. Who makes the hard work in this case is Usine, the free version, a modularized sequencer. This sequencer comes with some "Audio2midi" modules. This modules analyze the sound and send the midi note to your midi-out. I combined this module with free kjaerhus compressor and GSnap, a free "autotune" plugin. Additionaly, the intensity of the incoming audio is translated into CC modulation by "Soma enveloper", another free (great!) plugin. The hard work was done once, since now i load USINE as a VST fx in any audio track, and it sends the midi data to any sampler. In the video im using Cakewalk Music Creator 5, and GPO on the kontakt player, that use the modwheel values to control the volume of the sound. There are a lot of possibilities, you can play a midi keyboard and use your voice to record midi CC controllers data too. I believe i must thank to the guy of Usine. Is very inspiring record this way some parts of my music.
